Garden work that is hard on hands. Hammering in edging, carrying steel sections, pruning, fencing, hauling bark. They suit yard work, carpentry and farm jobs too.
How do I pick my size?
Measure round your hand at the knuckles, without the thumb, and compare with the size guide in the photos. Between sizes? Go up, leather does not stretch much.
What do I get?
One pair in the size you choose.
Are they thick enough for thorns and wire?
The cowhide is 1.0-1.2mm with a reinforced palm, which handles most garden thorns, wire and splinters. They are not rated as cut-proof gloves.
Are they stiff?
No. The leather is soft and flexible from the first wear, and the seams sit away from the palm so there is no rubbing.
Will my wrists fill with dirt?
The elastic wrist is there to stop that. It closes snug so soil and bark stay out.
What are they made of?
Selected cowhide leather, 1.0-1.2mm thick, with a reinforced leather palm patch and an elastic wrist.
How much does it cost?
Small: $19; Medium: $23; Large: $26; Extra Large: $29. Delivery is free once your order is $60 or more. Under that it is a flat $22.
Are there other sizes or options?
Four sizes, Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large. Pick your size before you add it to your basket and the price updates.
What do the photos show?
The gloves and the hand size guide. Tools and garden props are not included.
Which specs should I check before I buy?
Your size, the leather thickness (1.0-1.2mm) and the reinforced palm. If anything is unclear, ask us first.
How many pairs do I need?
One pair per person. Set the quantity on this page or in your basket.
Can I order more than one pair?
Yes. Set the quantity on this page or change it in your basket, in the sizes you need.
Are they for men or women?
Both. Pick by hand measurement, not by who is wearing them.
Can I wash them?
Brush off dry soil and wipe with a damp cloth. Do not soak them or put them in the machine. Let them dry away from direct heat.
Will they get wet through?
Leather is breathable, not waterproof. They will take light damp, but soaking them will stiffen the leather as it dries.
How do I look after them?
Knock the dirt off, dry them slowly if they get wet, and store them somewhere dry. A little leather conditioner now and then keeps them soft.
Any safety tips?
Keep the elastic wrist snug and watch for wear on the palm. Replace them when the leather thins. They are work gloves, not cut-resistant or chemical gloves.
Can I use them outside the garden?
Yes. They suit fencing, carpentry, firewood, farm work and most jobs where you want grip and a bit of protection.
Can I check my size before I buy?
Yes. Send us your hand measurement and we will tell you straight which size to pick.
Is the price in US dollars?
Yes. Product prices and checkout totals are in US dollars.
What does delivery cost?
Delivery is free when the goods total after any discount is $60 or more. Otherwise the delivery charge is $22.
How long does delivery take?
Allow 24-48 hours for handling, then an estimated 5-7 days in transit. These are estimates, not a promised arrival date.
Can I use the valued-customer code?
Yes. It takes 15% off the goods. Delivery is not discounted, and free delivery is worked out on the discounted goods total.
How do I track my order?
Use the Order Tracking page with the details we send after dispatch. If anything looks stuck, email us with your order reference.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Yes, within 15 days of purchase for an unused item in original resaleable condition with proof of purchase. A $60 restocking fee applies and you pay return postage. Your rights under federal and state consumer law are separate.
What if it arrives damaged or wrong?
Contact us with your order reference and photos, ideally within 7 days so we can investigate quickly. No restocking fee applies to faulty, damaged or incorrect goods. We arrange the repair, replacement or refund and cover the return postage.
Can I cancel before it ships?
Contact support as soon as possible. The voluntary cancellation policy allows requests within 12 hours of ordering, before shipment, with a 12.5% processing fee. The fee does not apply where it would limit a statutory remedy.
I have a big project. Can you help?
Yes. Use the wholesale enquiry page and tell us the products, quantities and your delivery postcode.
Where do I get help?

The complete guide
Leather gloves: the complete guide
3 min readLawn Edge Company USA
Cheap gardening gloves last until the first job with a steel edge or a thorny plant. These are made from selected cowhide with an extra layer of leather where the wear happens, across the palm. They are work gloves first and garden gloves second, and that is why they last.
What they are made of
Selected cowhide leather, 1.0-1.2mm thick
Reinforced leather palm patch for grip and wear
Elastic wrist that keeps soil and debris out
Seams set away from the palm, with a shaped thumb for movement
Naturally breathable
Four sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large
Picking your size
Measure round your hand at the knuckles, not including the thumb, and compare with the size guide in the photos. If you are between sizes, go up. Leather does not stretch much, and a glove that is tight across the knuckles is tiring to wear.
What they are for
Fitting corten or black steel edging, where the sections are heavy and the cut ends are sharp. Pruning. Hauling bark and firewood. Fencing, carpentry, farm work and most jobs where you want grip and a layer between you and the material.
They are not cut-proof or chemical-resistant gloves. For thorns, wire and splinters, the 1.0-1.2mm hide does the job.
Looking after them
Brush off dry soil after each use. Wipe with a damp cloth for anything stuck on.
If they get wet, let them dry slowly, away from a heater or direct sun, so the leather does not stiffen.
Rub in a little leather conditioner now and then to keep them soft.
Store them somewhere cool and dry.
When to replace them
When the palm patch wears thin or a seam opens. Until then, keep using them. They get more comfortable with age.
